Best Time to Visit
From the first of October to the last day of June each year, the Ranthambore National Park is open to visitors during the hours designated for safaris. Due to the rainy season, the park is not open to visitors from July through September. The best months to visit Ranthambore are November through April since the temperature is warm and you can watch the animals without worrying about them being uncomfortable. From October to June, there are two safaris per day, one departing in the morning and the other in the late afternoon.
In general, the morning safari begins 30 minutes after sunrise, while the evening safari concludes 30 minutes before sunset. The times consequently alter significantly every two months or so. Every safari lasts three to three and a half hours. In the daytime, summertime temperatures in Ranthambore can reach 45 degrees Celsius. Wintertime lows at night can reach 2 degrees C. The Ranthambore National Park is best explored during the pleasant 16–20 degree winter days.
After the monsoon, the park is lush and full of animals. Additionally, there are lots of migrating birds that stop in Ranthambore throughout the winter. Even in the early morning or late at night, the wind chill factor won't bother you if you wear enough protective clothes. Summer can be a highly productive time to visit Ranthambore National Park if the heat is not intolerable for you because the animals can be seen plainly in the leafless forests and near the lakes and watering holes where they are drawn by thirst.
